All I Want
This was written for an anthology of short stories by writers from around the world. Each contributor was assigned a song, and asked to write a story inspired (however loosely) by that song. Mine was “All I Want” by Toad the Wet Sprocket. (To hear the song, click here.) The anthology is available as an e-book on Amazon here.
The core of the tale came to me almost at once, along with clear images. It only remained to learn more about the characters, and to chronicle their story.
Faithful Unto Death
A “what-if” story, exploring what might have happened if events had taken a different course in Chapter 23 of Mud and Gold. I found this a dark piece to write, because I was in the head of a character who’s uncomfortable company. Note: major spoilers for Sentence of Marriage, and for Mud and Gold up to Chapter 24.
